A few things
UPDATE: At her 2 month checkup Calla weighed 11 lbs and 9 oz! She is now 22.5 inchecs long! Dr. thought that she looks great and that we are doing a great job with her!!
I'm cheering for Charli!!
These are a few pics of the outfit that Calla wore on Sunday to Charli's benefit! We wanted Charli to know that we are praying for her all the time!!
I started back to work last week and Calla has done really well at daycare! Now when we leave all the kids gather around to say good-bye and Calla just smiles at them all...it is a great feeling to know that your child is happy when left at daycare.
Sunday was the benefit for Charli and her family and we had a WONDERFUL time hanging out and chatting with them all day. Charli looks great and is an amazing baby girl...it will be exciting to see what plans God has in store for her lifetime!!
Calla goes to the dr. later this week and I will post her stats after that visit. She is growing so much and loves to smile and stand on her legs and hold her head up! Her and Little B will be in so much trouble together in no time! YIKES!!!!!
Hope everyone takes some time today to appreciate all the great things they have going on in their lives!

2 month birthday!!
Today Calla is 2 months old!! Chad and I have decided that it seems like this little girlie has been around for much longer than 2 months!! We love being parents!
Calla survived her shots and her first day at daycare. Shirley, our provider, is great and loves little Calla already and we know that she is a great fit for our family and will take the very best care of our baby!
I go back to work tomorrow and I am very excited! I don't want to leave Calla for 8 hours at a time, but I need a reason to get out of bed, get dressed, brush my teeth, and fix my hair!! I could become a slob really quick if I decided to stay at home, but I don't think Chad would enjoy that.
Charli had a rough weekend and her family could use some prayers so visit them at http://brenda-chad.blogspot.com/ to let them know you care!
Enjoy the new pictures!

More pictures
I had updated last week about her weight and well, the scale was wrong. This week she weighed in at 10lbs 8oz and has ate the same or more this week so I know that she did not lose a pound! If you remember the link I posted a few weeks ago about Charli and her family, her grandparents are hosting a benefit for them on Sunday, April 29th in Columbus. If you want more info, let me know and I will get it to you!! The link to their website is http://brenda-chad.blogspot.com/ and they would love to know that you are praying for their family.
Next week is a big week for Calla (and Mommy!). Calla gets her 2 month shots and she starts daycare! So that means Mommy goes back to work! I am excited but also sad...I am sure that everything will be fine!
Enjoy the new pics...I finally got one with her smiling!!

Happy Easter
UPDATE: Yesterday I took Calla in to be weighed and....she is up to 11lbs 8oz! WOWZA BABY!

Isn't my Easter Hat cute!!?!?!?!?

Little B was shocked that we had the same suit...and mommy didn't even buy them!
Just enjoying some time on the carpet in my Easter Dress!
Isn't my Easter Hat cute!!?!?!?!?
Calla went on her first BIG road trip to Missouri over the weekend! She did really well on the 8+hour road trip and we are so proud of her. In Missouri she got to meet her Great Grandma Carolyn and Great Grandpa Roy as well as all of mommy's cousins. We had a great time visiting with all the family as it had been a long, long time since Chad and I had been there. We hope to go back again sometime later this year. Shane, Jed, Burlynn, and Grandpa and Grandma Williams also went along so it was nice to spend time with them as well. We hope that everyone had as good of an Easter as we did...enjoy the pictures!!

Go Team Magnum! This is Uncle Shane's basketball team and we got this onesie from Little B!!
Peace, love, and breastmilk!!
The three of us at hockey tonight!
Look at these blue eyes and LONG eyelashes!
She was enjoying her first "real" bath! She only wimpered a bit when Daddy washed her hair!Last Friday Calla went in for her one month check up and was up to 7lbs 14oz and 21 inches long! Well...on Tuesday of this week we weighed her again and she was up to 8lbs 6oz!!! Chunky Monkey!!! This being Friday again I would bet that she is easily up another 4-6oz....thus putting her at around 2lbs gained in 5 weeks! Hopefully she levels off soon or she will be 25lbs in no time!! I just wanted to share some more pictures from this week...I can't seem to stop taking pictures when we are together. She made it to her second hockey game tonight and once again did really well...we got her some ear plugs this time. Hope you all have a great weekend!

quick update

I just wanted to post some new pics for you all to see! The picture with the clothes are all the clothes she has to grow into over the next year! She has more than me and I didn't think that was possible! Also stop by the link provided to leave some positive words for my friends and their daughter Charli! Charli is winning the fight against childhood cancer and your prayers will help her do so!

Busy Week

Calla got to attend her first hockey game this week and the Storm won! Omaha was in town and mommy knew it would be a good game and so Calla got dressesd in her warm clothes and her hat. We brought along her hockey blanket and her baby sling and away we went! It gets rather loud at times, but Calla didn't notice and managed to sleep through most of the game! The playoffs are coming soon and so she will probaby get to attend a few more games before the season ends! There is also a picture to remember her first experience!
Calla and I also want to wish her Daddy a Happy Birthday today! He definately is the best dad in the world! We love you Daddy Chaddy!

A little update

Nothing really new to report, but just had some new pictures to share! Calla survived her first road trip to Grandma and Grandpa Williams house! She slept all of the way there and most of the way back. We are headed to Missouri over Easter weekend so we
hope the traveling goes just as well then! Cousin Burlynn liked to be near Calla this weekend and even did ok when her Daddy held Calla! I am sure that this will be a great relationship that these two cousins share! We are looking forward to the nice weather this week so that we can go on some walks. Daddy goes back to work tomorrow so that will be an adjustment that will take some getting used to, but I am sure that we will make it. Calla got to meet Great Grandma Mona as well as Great Grandma Lorene and Great Grandpa Marvin and we have shared some pics of those visits.

A few new pics!

Just wanted to share a few pics from the first week of Calla's life! The blue picture is from the 21 hours that she spent under the billi light at the hospital...the little glasses were great to keep the light out, but a pain to put on. Things here are really going well and the house is staying picked up and the dishes done, so I guess we have adjusted pretty well so far! Thanks for checking in on us!

Calla Jade is here!!!!

Calla Jade was born on Saturday, 24 February 2007 at 10:29AM with lots of black hair, and she is BEAUTIFUL!!
Calla was born on my cousin Paige's 18th birthday so we think that is pretty cool that they will forever share that. Just a little history on Calla's name too...when my Grandma Drohman and her twin were born their mother died giving birth to them. They had several siblings at home and their dad needed some help raising them and so their Grandma Calla took them in and raised them all. She passed away in 1965, so I never met her, but we really liked her name and think it fits our little girl really well!!
We only spent a little over 12 hours at the hospital and everything went really well. Chad was right beside me all night and did a great job of supporting me when the pain was rough! Since Calla has been here she definately has worked really hard at wrapping her daddy around her finger...and she has successfully completed that task!! He is such a great father...thanks Shane for being such a great role model this last year!
Burlynn was here over the weekend and was a bit jealous of Grandma and Grandpa holding the baby, but she really liked to look at Calla too! Here are a few pictures and you can bet that there will be plenty more as she grows! Thanks for checking in on us!

40 weeks--We are overdue

Sorry I have not updated for several weeks...
Today we went in for our 40 week check up. Baby's heartbeat was around 140bpm and seems to be really comfortable right where it is! I was only slightly dialated and my blood pressure was still good. So this means that I will go back next Thursday for another appointment and we will decide what to do from there! I am uncomfortable, but not totally dying of pain yet so I was ok with waiting until next week to discuss induction. I am also including a picture from today. I will let you all know when we have some news to report!

38 weeks

I have nothing to report on, but I just wanted to share a picture from this week! I also included a picture from 10 weeks ago...man it is amazing how much bigger my belly is even though I still weigh about the same as I did then! Keep those predictions coming, Chad and I really enjoy reading what everyone thinks.

37 weeks
Today I went in for my 37 week appointment and pretty much everything is the same. I gained no weight, baby's heartbeat was around 140, my blood pressure was fine, and baby has only dropped slightly. I have been feeling pretty much the same and we are getting more excited to meet this little person! We did meet our daycare provider this week and LOVE her! We are very excited for what she has to offer our family and look forward to sharing our child with her and her other clients. Have a marvelous day!

PREDICTIONS!!
With only a few weeks left it is time for you to start making your predictions as to when baby will arrive! Will it be boy or girl? What date will it arrive? What time of day? How much will it weigh? Any name predictions? Brenda...it is ok to tell me what names you hate too! :)
Humor me please...I need something to help speed up the next few weeks!

36 Weeks

Yesterday I went to the dr. for my 36 week appointment. I gained no weight in the last two weeks and my blood pressure was much lower than it had been last time! Baby's heartbeat was around 142 bpm and it has been moving SO MUCH lately...especially in the evening! I am also including a picture of me from Wednesday. I now go see my regular dr. every week until baby comes so I will update you again next week!

35 weeks-Dr. Visit
Today we saw our ob-gyn for our 7th ultrasound in order to track the position of the placenta. Well, it turns out the placenta has moved sometime during the last 5 weeks. It has moved up and away from the cervix and so we no longer will have to have a c-section. This means that I technically have 5 weeks until the due date and will just have to wait until I go into labor. :)
We were excited to have a baby in just a few weeks, but I guess we will have to wait a few more and take what comes! I still have been feeling pretty good and am still able to get down on the floor with my kiddos at work...as well as get up without a tow truck!! I still plan on working until the day I go to have this baby. Thanks for checking in on our day!

34 weeks
Today I had a visit with my regular dr. to see how things were going. I gained 8 lbs in the last two weeks...must have been the McDonald's lunches that I have eaten several times this week!! :)
She checked the cervix and it is not thinning at all yet which is a good thing since I technically have 6 weeks left. The strep B test was also done to see if I am a carrier of that...not for sure when results will be back for that. When I arrived my blood pressure was a bit high, but they checked it again and it was lower so that is really not a concern...thankfully! Other than that she just said we will see what the ob-gyn sees next week on the ultrasound to decide when this baby is going to be born!! Thanks for checking in on our progress!

33 weeks--Baby Shower!!

Yesterday I had a wonderful baby shower with some great friends and family in Deshler! Chad and I received so many great things and have spent the evening putting things away and deciding on which things to wash now. We are so excited that we have received so much bath stuff, various baby care items, sleepers, and blankets and so much more!
For Christmas we received a VERY CUTE diaper bag from my parents and so I am including a picture of that so everyone can see just how cool it really is! The inside has the same colors of fabric like the front but the pattern is striped instead of circles and squares. It also came with a matching changing pad! It is from Zag Bag customized purses/bags and there is a website if you want to buy one for yourself!!

I also am including a few pictures of some friends that were at the shower. The first one is of Gina and Brenda who are friends from college. Brenda (on left) recently had a baby and Gina(on right) is expecting her first this summer so we have lots to talk about when it comes to babies!!!
The next picture is of some friends from high school. Jennifer (on left) has a daugher and so she too had some good ideas to share with me. Steph (on right) is the other friend and she was the lone hostess for the day. The other two ladies that were going to help her were sick and so she did a great job of getting everything done on her own. Thanks so much Steph for all you did!!!It was so exciting to have so many fun people around to celebrate the addition to our family!
