4 month stats

Sunday our little baby turned 4 months already!!! Wow...she is SUCH a big girl now. Yesterday she had 4 shots and one drink immunization and did well with that. This morning she had a temp and so Mommy stayed home this morning. She had her 4 month checkup also today and then this afternoon Daddy got to stay home. She was a bit grumpy and just restless so we decided we would just keep her home. In two months of daycare she has yet to be sick so we decided that we too would like to stay home and enjoy her for one day!!!

At her appointment this morning....
weight: 13lbs 11oz--55th percentile
length: 24 3/4 in--70th percentile

She is growing well! Not for sure where she gets her height, but we will take it.
Here are some pics of her on her 4 month birthday...ENJOY!

Our Week in Review

We had a good week here at our house! We spent most evenings together at home because it was rainy outside! On Friday Calla and I went to Deshler for Deshler Daze weekend and to spend some time with the family. We hung out at the park on Saturday and spent lots of time playing with Burlynn in between. Today we are helping Chad celebrate his first Father's Day and we are having a good time. Hope that everyone else had a great week and please enjoy the pics!

Dedication Sunday

Today we had Calla Dedicated at our church and everything went really well! We had a house full of people for lunch afterwards so we had a busy weekend preparing and then hanging out with everyone! Calla wore the dress and hat that I wore when I was Baptized 26 years ago!
Burlynn definately showed Chad and I what needs to be baby proofed before Calla becomes too mobile!
This week she rolled from back to front and insists on doing it every time we lay her down now!! Watch out Mommy and Daddy!!!
Calla got some nice gifts from everyone today but we do have to say that the Animal Train is our FAVORITE!!! She likes to watch it when we make the music play...this is a must have for every baby!!! Tonight Chad and I took her to Wal-Mart and we purchased a jump-a-roo for her to play in as well...our living room seems to have been taken over by baby things. AHHHHH!! It is hard to think that only a year ago we were just finding out that we were going to have a baby and now she has totally taken over our lives and our house. I am including some pictures so you all can see how much fun we had today! Have a wonderful week!

Some nice thoughts

*Just for this morning, I am going to step over the laundry,

and pick you up and take you to the park to play.

*Just for this morning, I will leave the dishes in the sink,

and let you teach me how to put that puzzle of yours together.

*Just for this afternoon, I will unplug the telephone and

keep the computer off, and sit with you in the backyard and blow bubbles.

*Just for this afternoon, I will not yell once, not even a
tiny grumble when you scream and whine for the ice cream truck
and I will buy you one if he comes by.

*Just for this afternoon, I won't worry about what you are
going to be when you grow up, or second guess every decision
I have made where you are concerned.

*Just for this afternoon, I will let you help me bake cookies,
and I won't stand over you trying to fix them.

*Just for this afternoon, I will take us to McDonald's and buy
us both a Happy Meal so you can have both toys.

*Just for this evening, I will hold you in my arms and tell you
a story about how you were born and how much I love you.

*Just for this evening, I will let you splash in the tub and
not get angry.

*Just for this evening, I will let you stay up late while we sit
on the porch and count all the stars.

*Just for this evening, I will snuggle beside you for hours,
and miss my favorite TV shows.

*Just for this evening when I run my finger through your hair
as you pray, I will simply be grateful that God has given me the
greatest gift ever given.

*I will think about the mothers And fathers who are searching
for their missing children, the mothers and fathers who are
visiting their children's graves instead of their bedrooms, and mothers and fathers who are in hospital rooms watching their children suffer senselessly, and screaming
inside that they can't handle it anymore.

*And when I kiss you good night I will hold you a little tighter,
a little longer. It is then, that I will thank God for you, and
ask Him for nothing, except one more

Life is Good

I have nothing to post and no new pics this week...bad mommy! We have been preparing for Calla's Dedication this week and really have not taken a single picture. Calla loves laying on the floor playing with her ball that hangs above her! She has really figured out how to hit it so it will move. Last night she slept all through the night so we are hoping for a repeat tonight!!!! Hope you have a good day.
